A Mother's & Grandmother's Prayer

Thank you Lord for being there every morning,

when I wake to a new day.

Thank you for listening as I pray to you each day,

for connecting me to my family, each in a special way.

Thank you for all the answers to prayer, that come at just the right time, you always know what is best for us.

I pray, you will help us to focus on the important things in life,

most of all our relationship with you Dear Lord.

Help us to measure our success in life by our humility,

the love we show others and our daily walk with you.

Help us to set our hearts on the right things.

Slow us down to enjoy our family and the miracles of nature.

Lord, most of all, prepare us

for our eternal life with you, when this life is past.

Pilgrim Pathway

As I tread this pilgrim pathway,

On my way to Glory bright,

God's Word is a lamp to my feet,

To keep me on the road that's right.

This Word, too, ever feeds my soul,

Helping me to grow in grace,

And it keeps me free from sinning,

True to God, while I run life's race.

For it keeps my goal before me,

Throughout life down here below,

Until I'm called to come up higher,

To that land where comes no woe.

There I'll see my blest Savior's face,

Share His Glory evermore.

For there'll be no parting ever,

From my Lord on Heaven's shore.
