Just some notes to let everyone know what is happening….

CLASS SCHEDULE

Every 6 weeks a new session of classes gets started.

Classes are usually on Tuesday and Thursdays.
Classes are offered in the daytime and the evening.
Call to signup for the next session of classes.

***If your child is interested in the next session of classes (drawing or painting) please call and let me know, so I can prepare the schedule.

APACHE HOMESCHOOLERS' ART CONTEST 2008

Again we will be having the Homeschoolers' Art Contest. All homeschoolers in the Central Illinois area, grades 5-12, are eligible to participate. There will be two age divisions: Middle School (5-8 grade) and High School (9-12 grade). Artwork must have been completed in the 2007-2008 school year. Entry fee is $1.00 for APACHE Subscribers and $3.00 for non-APACHE participants. Artwork, completed entry form and entry fee must be received between April 1 and April 30, 2008. All artwork will be displayed, judged and prizes will be awarded at a reception on Friday, May 2, 7:00 - 8:00pm. Reception will be held at the Groveland Missionary Church, 5043 Queenwood Road, Groveland, Illinois. Awards that will be given out are: 1st ($25.00), 2nd ($15.00) and 3rd ($10.00) places in both age divisions. Artwork will be displayed at the Pekin Library for the month of May.

CREATIVE ARTS STUDENT ART SHOW

I am excited that we will be having a Student Art Show in October 2008. This exhibit will be at the Pekin Public Library for the month of September. This exhibit is for any of my past or present students, who would like to display one piece of their art that was completed in 2007 or 2008. I will be accepting student's artwork and entry form from September 15th - 30th. Artwork needs to be framed or able to be hung. I have had a lot of students and there is a little more than 20 slots for art work, so be sure to get your piece in early. If you have any questions, please contact me. If any parent would be interested in helping with this event, let me know.

$5.00 REWARD

Because publicity is very costly, I have told the students that if they tell someone about the classes and that person takes a session of classes, I will give the student $5.00 for each new referral.
